We’re delighted that, from today, users of Elsevier’s PlumX platform will be able to see Overton policy citations related to their scholarly articles.
At Overton we are passionate about helping organizations understand how their research influences policy worldwide and this new functionality within PlumX makes it even easier for institutions and their researchers to see that for individual articles, in the tools they already work with day to day.
PlumX uses our data snapshots product, linking all the policy documents in our database to scholarly books, articles and other outputs with a DOI.
Users will be able to click through to individual policy document pages on the Overton app, and if they’re one of our customers will be able to jump out to our other features like researcher mentions and policy to policy citations from there.
Elsevier had previously looked closely at the Overton data as part of consulting engagements, and their feedback and analysis has been really helpful.
